Hole by Hole
This hole serves as a good start to a nice round of golf. There isn't too much trouble with the opening drive as it plays downhill leading to a relatively flat landing area. However, be cautious of the fairway bunker on the left and be extra careful with the approach shot to the rather smallish green.
At 180 metres off the black tee, as well as playing uphill. this hole is quite daunting for the weak hitters. Two bunkers guarding the front right and left of the green are to be avoided for any chance at a decent score.
A good chance to recover a lost stroke from the previous hole. At 465 metres off the blue tee, social golfer will relish the chance of getting on in regulation for a possible birdie. Strong hitters may attempt for a two-on and a rare eagle.
Even before the added distance, this index 1 hole is already a daunting prospect. With an additional 22 metres, this par-four can be a real monster. A perfectly struck tee-shot should be aimed more to the left of the fairway away from the sandy trap on the right fur a better angle at the green. Distance and accuracy are definitely imperative to scoring on this hole.
This double dogleg hole is the longest par-five on the course. A long drive on this hole must take into account a cluster of fairway traps some 200 metres off the tee. Reaching the green in two is almost beyond most golfers except those courageous enough to gamble their luck on the uphill second shot over water and greenside bunkers.
This short dogleg right par-four rises gently from tee to green, presents a perfect birdie opportunity for most golfers. However, strategic placing of the ball rather than mere brute strength is often the best route to scoring. Thinking golfers may opt for a fairway wood or long iron off the tee to avoid the bunker and the risk of going O.B. should the shot go too far left.
An additional ten metres add more bite to this par-three offering but still it is a short iron approach for good golfers. Anyway, good distance judgement is important to reach the green and escape the strategically placed greenside bunkers.
This medium length par-four plays slightly downhill, giving hope to weak hitters to reach the green in regulation. The tee-shot must be placed short of the water some 210 metres off the tee. The approach shot however plays uphill to a small green making accuracy a distinct advantage.
A good tee-shot is required to reach the landing area on the left which offers the best angle to attack the green as the right side of the fairway is guarded by a bunker. However, be warned of the lake running along the left side of the fairway from the tee to the landing area.
